GTT Group Announces Patent Acquisition Opportunity Related to Random Number Generation

Portland, Oregon (November, 2010) — Global Technology Transfer Group, Inc. (GTT Group) announces the availability of the Random Number Generator patent.

Random values are commonly used in computing to seed encryption algorithms. The generation of truly random numbers is elusive in practice due to the difficulty in locating a source on-board the computer that is sufficiently random.

The invention described provides the computational functionality needed to efficiently realize randomized computing methods in otherwise standard, deterministic digital computing systems. The claimed subject matter may be incorporated in a standard computing platform, such as a PC, in various ways.

Trusted Platform Module (TPM) chips are one example of how the Random Number Generation patent may be applied. The TPM is a combination of hardware and software that generates random values from physical processes for the purpose of seeding encryption algorithms. TPMs are widely integrated in notebook and tablet PCs and virtually all enterprise systems.

GTT Group will be approaching potential buyers and providing materials explaining the strategic advantages for acquiring the portfolio. In addition, GTT Group’s patent experts will be available to discuss the strengths of the patent and evidence of use in the call center industry.
